Hotel Sahid Jaya Solo, Surakarta (Solo)

The hotel is situated in a prime location on Jalan Gajah Mada, meeting my expectations perfectly. The rooms offer a spacious and comfortable stay while dressed up in ancient Java Troops of Keraton's uniform, providing hospitable service. The dining experience was excellent with a variety of traditional Javanese meals, though it could use some improvement in terms of spread. The value for money, including breakfast, was exceptional at IDR 800.000 per night.

The hotel is in a convenient location near various food stalls and offers a good value for the price paid. The hotel staff dressed in traditional Javanese uniforms provided helpful hospitality during my stay. However, the lack of public transport access and limited dining options were minor drawbacks.

The dining experience was great, offering a variety of traditional Javanese meals like ‘Nasi Liwet', ‘Pecel', and ‘Bubur Jawa'. However, the breakfast spread could use some improvements. The facilities provided were satisfactory, with room service, car hire, dry cleaning, laundry, airport shuttle, and tours/ticket assistance available.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were so spacious with a comfy bed, clean bathroom, and amenities that made me feel like I was in the presidential suite, although it was meant for another room. The service was impeccable, with the staff dressed in ancient Java Troops of Keraton's uniform being extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous. The location exceeded my expectations, situated in Jalan Gajah Mada, one of the main arteries in Solo, and right beside the prestigious press monument on Jalan Yosodipuro. The dining experience was delightful with a great variety of traditional Javanese meals available. The facilities were top-notch.
